去咗大都淮陽參加Nikka 威士忌晚宴,以中菜配日本威士忌,試咗6款威士忌,包括Nikka from the barrel、竹鶴、宮城峽、余市、 Nikka 12 年同Nikka Coffey Grain。日本威士忌係非常有蘇格蘭威士忌風格,因為佢係帶蘇格蘭威士忌嘅技術回國。但係日本威士忌又好有自己風格,比較溫柔同平易近人。是晚6款威士忌,如果要我揀一款,我會㨂余市,因為餘韻係6款入面最長,而且比較有層次。甜品配Coffey Grain 好夾,Nikka代表話下次叫我試下用雲尼拿雪糕襯佢,會有更多驚喜,等我試下先!
Attended Nikka whisky dinner at Empire City & matched with Chinese cuisine with whiskies. Tried 6 Nikka whiskies, including Nikka from the barrel, Takatsuru, Miyagikyo, Yoichi, Nikka 12 year old & Nikka Coffey Grain. Japanese whisky is very Scotch style, as they have adapted the Scotch technology from Scotland. However, Japanese whisky also has its own style, it's more mellow & easy to drink. If I have to choose one whisky from the six whiskies, I'd vote for Yoichi, as the finish is longer than the others and it's more complex. Coffey grain and dessert is very matched. Nikka rep asks me to try Coffey grain to add on vanilla ice-cream, she said I'd be surprised by it! So interesting! I'll try and see!
